Salem-Keizer Education Foundation (SKEF) planted its first Learning Gardens in three schools in 2010. Now we have grown to 9 school gardens that produce thousands of pounds of fresh food and teach students about healthy lifestyles, nutrition, local specialty crop agriculture, and careers in agriculture. Our programs are proven to be successful at increasing children’s nutrition knowledge and consumption of local produce by expanding access at schools.

SKEF announces Crystal Apple Business Partner Award

Corban University has been awarded the sixth annual Crystal Apple Business Partnership Award. The organization will be formally recognized at next week's Crystal Apple Awards on November 5th.

Created in 2010, the Crystal Apple Business Partnership Award honors a community organization that uses business best practices, innovation, and leadership to engage a school community to support student achievement.
